Have you all heard about Windows Fundamentals for Legacy PC’s?

Microsoft just released this product (end of June 2006). Windows Fundamentals is a scaled back version of Windows XP embedded SP2. It has fewer disk, RAM, and CPU requirements and that allows it to run on “legacy” (think old and underpowered) PC’s. Microsoft is now offering this for download to all software assurance customers for free.

The benefit to Windows Fundamentals is to allow corporate customers to keep PC’s in service longer while still providing the same security features as Windows XP.

In reality, you would put this on a legacy PC and use terminal server to run applications on that PC. Fundamentals comes embedded with the terminal server client.
