i use the DEFAULT Settings: Use the netbios settings from the DHCP server. If static ip addres is used or the DHCP server does not provide netbios setting, enable netbios over tcp/ip.

however, i decided to change to Enable NetBIOS over TCP/IP because i was having problems from time to time with mapping drives….. Well it seemed to cause more problems, so now i changed it back to the DEFAULT settings…….Now i really have problems……..

1)>>Before “everybody” permissons did not need a username and passoword, now it is always asking.

2)>>map drives in scanner settings to “save as” that were using the static ip works then doesn’t. hard to explain with that one.

It’s like to whole network needs reconfigured????????

    Thanks
