I have a problem when accessing a network share (via a mapped drive) that has a large (200 MB) .EPS file on it, not in the root of the share but one layer down. When I access the share I notice that it takes a long time for the directory listing to be displayed and even once it is displayed the computer slows down, and continues to be slow even if I close the explorer window. I used filemon from sysinternals to see what was going on and explorer.exe was continually reading this .EPS file. Any ideas as to why it would be doing this, even when the Explorer window is shut?
