    I have SSH access directly to an ESXI 5.5 host using putty.
    I can see a VM running that I want to change the IP address of, now, I can VIEW the IP address by running the following command;
    vim-cmd vmsvc/get.summary VMID | egrep ‘(ip)’

    However I cannot for the life of me work out how to change the IP. I have all the credentials etc of the VM if required. The VM also has vmware tools installed if that helps?

    Please help.
