I am troubleshooting a Windows 2003 Server Std ed. and Client Workstation ( Vista OS). I have the ff errrors/problems:
1. I can not connect the client to the AD. I double check the DNS settings and made sure the Server has the ff ip settings: 192.168.2.10, 225.255.255.0 and DNS of 192.168.2.10. On the client side – 192.168.2.15, 255.255.255.0, 192.168.2.10 and DNS of 192.168.2.10.
2. When I run NSLOOKUP, I get this message:
Microsoft Windows [Version 5.2.3790]
(C) Copyright 1985-2003 Microsoft Corp.
C:Documents and SettingsAdministrator.SAPSERVER.000>nslookup metropolis
*** Can’t find server name for address 192.168.2.110: Non-existent domain
Server: UnKnown
Address: 192.168.2.110
*** UnKnown can’t find metropolis: Non-existent domain
C:Documents and SettingsAdministrator.SAPSERVER.000>
3. I when through the help notes and check list on setting up AD and DNS on Petri.co.il help links and check the settings. Everything is set the same as instructed on the help notes.
I need help!
Thanks.
John
