    Hello…

Hypothetical scenario: I have a server running Windows Server 2012 / 2016 / 2012 on which I have created 12 users and I need to install RDS licenses – device or user type and there are 12 device which can be used to connect using RDS. My understanding is:

If I install 6 devices type licenses, the server will allow any 6 users to log in from any the first 6 devices first used?

Alternately, if I install 6 user type licenses, the server will allow only those 6 users to log in irrespective of which device they use.

Is my understanding correct? If not, could someone please clear it?

    Thank you
