As we approach the eleventh hour on the eleventh day of the eleventh month, let’s pause for a moment and remember the moment the guns fell silent in Europe and the “war to end wars” came to an end. Sadly, it was not to last, and too many times over the last ninety six years, the guns have again sounded and again men and women have put themselves in harms way to preserve the freedoms we take for granted.
At this time, please take a few moments to think of all those, of every nation, race and creed, past and present, who serve in the armed forces and sacrifice so much for us
They shall not grow old, as we who are left grow old
Age shall not weary them, nor the years condemn
At the going down of the sun, and in the morning
We will remember them
