Microsoft announced this morning Viva Sales, a new Viva application designed to meet the specific needs of sellers. Viva Sales integrates with Microsoft Teams and other Microsoft 365 apps to automate the data entry process into any CRM system for the sales team.
Viva Sales aims to address some major challenges commonly faced by sales companies and individual sellers. These include the manual data entry process, a lack of AI-based recommendations, and the absence of customer engagement insights in productivity apps. With Viva Sales, the company also aims to reduce the time spent on administrative and other non-sales tasks.
“The future of selling isn’t a new system. It’s bringing the information sellers need at the right time, with the right context, into the tools they know, so their work experience can be streamlined. Empowering sellers to spend more time with their customers has been our goal – and we’ve done that by reimagining the selling experience with Viva Sales,” said Judson Althoff, executive vice president & chief commercial officer at Microsoft.
First up, Viva Sales eliminates the need to enter data into the CRM systems manually. Sellers can tag customers in Microsoft 365 apps, and Viva Sales automatically saves it as a customer record along with other relevant information. The customer engagement data can then be shared with colleagues in Microsoft Teams and Office apps.
Additionally, the Viva Sales app provides valuable insights that enable sales teams to better understand the needs of customers. For instance, sales professionals can access conversation intelligence summaries in Teams calls, real-time conversation tips, call transcripts, talk-to-listen ratios, and more.
Thanks to Context IQ, Microsoft’s integrated AI experience across Microsoft 365, Viva Sales can also offer AI-driven recommendations to sellers, as well as customized actionable reminders and tips to improve customer engagement, optimize the workflow, and boost sales.
Since its launch back in February 2021, Microsoft Viva has grown pretty fast and now offers six modules with different purposes for organizations. Microsoft emphasizes that Viva Sales will ease the burden sales teams face in keeping their CRM systems up to date, and we invite you to check out the Viva Sales product website for details.
This new Viva Sales experience follows the launch of Viva Goals in private preview last month. This previous Viva module, which leverages Microsoft’s recent acquisition of Ally.io, will help team members better align their progress with key organizational goals.
