Microsoft has announced two new Surface Copilot+ PCs powered by Snapdragon X Plus processors. Alongside the launch, the company is rolling out a new settings AI agent and Copilot+ experiences for Windows Insiders.

The all-new Surface Laptop is smaller than a standard notebook, and it features a premium anodized aluminum chassis. The new laptop is available in three colours, including Violet, Ocean, and Platinum. This device can be paired with the Surface Arc Mouse, which is now available in Ocean and Violet colors.
According to Microsoft, the new Surface Laptop should be 50 percent faster than Surface Laptop 5, and Qualcomm’s Snapdragon X Plus chip makes the device outpace the MacBook Air M3. The other big changes include a 13-inch full HD touchscreen display framed by ultra-thin bezels, and a built-in AI-enhanced camera with Auto Video HDR and support for AI noise reduction.
The new Surface Laptop is available with 16GB of memory and up to 512GB of storage. Microsoft promises up to 23 hours of video playback and up to 16 hours of active web browsing. This laptop also comes with 2 USB-C ports, a USB-A 3.1 port, and a headphone jack. While the new Surface Laptop lacks the proprietary Surface Connect port, it does include the Surface 45W USB-C wall charger in the box.
The new Surface Laptop starts at $899. You can pre-order the new Surface Laptop today on Microsoft’s website, and it will start shipping in select markets on May 20.

The new Surface Pro is powered by the Snapdragon X Plus processor with an integrated and powerful 45 TOPS NPU. The tablet has an adjustable kickstand and a detachable keyboard, which is an optional accessory. It is available in three colors, including Slate, Ocean, and Violet.
Microsoft also offers 16GB of memory and up to 512 GB of storage on the new Surface Pro. It comes with a 12-inch LCD display and a full HD Surface Studio Camera that supports AI-powered Windows Studio Effects, including automatic framing, portrait blur, creative Filters, and voice focus. The new tablet includes two USB-C / USB 3.2 ports that support both charging and data transfer. However, it does not feature the proprietary Surface Connect port, and a charger is not included in the box.
The new Surface Pro offers up to 16 hours of local video playback and up to 12 hours of active web usage. The new Copilot+ PC starts at $799, and it will also begin shipping in select markets on May 20. You can pre-order the new Surface Pro today on Microsoft’s website.
Microsoft also announced that the new Surface Laptop and the Surface Pro will be available for business customers in select markets on July 22.
