Upcoming FREE Conference on Identity Management and Privileged Access Management
MC267575 – Presenters and Organizers can now prevent public switched telephone network (PSTN) participants from unmuting. This change also allows PSTN participants to request to speak by raising their hand in a meeting via dial-pad command (press *5). This is rolling out on desktop, web and mobile.
This message is associated with Microsoft 365 Roadmap ID 80262.
When this will happen:
Standard and GCC: Microsoft will begin rolling this out in in mid-July and complete in late July.
GCC-H and DoD: Microsoft will begin rolling this out in late-July and complete in early August.
How this will affect your organization:
Users in your organization that make use of the features to manage attendee audio can now use these same audio management controls on users that dial in.
What you need to do to prepare:
You might want to notify your users about this new capability and update your training and documentation as appropriate.
