Red Hat is introducing Confirmed Sovereign Support, a new service tailored for all 27 EU member states and slated to launch early next year. The program guarantees that EU organizations receive technical assistance solely from EU-based experts.

Red Hat’s Confirmed Sovereign Support (RHCSS) is designed to meet the growing demand among EU tech leaders for greater independence from non-European technology providers. This model helps organizations maintain tighter control over data, technology, and operations. It also helps to comply with local regulations and remain resilient amid global political shifts.

Red Hat’s Confirmed Sovereign Support introduces a robust framework tailored for the EU, which features verified EU citizens as support staff and ensures all services are managed entirely within the region. This localized approach offers 24/7 availability and is reinforced by a vast network of over 500 EU-based cloud partners. It helps organizations reduce reliance on non-EU providers while maintaining full control over their infrastructure and compliance needs.

Additionally, the technology platform of Red Hat’s Confirmed Sovereign Support will consist of Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL) and its broader open hybrid cloud and AI portfolios. This approach leverages open source principles to give EU organizations greater visibility, control, and adaptability in managing their infrastructure and innovation strategies.
