M365 Changelog: Power Platform admin center cross-tenant analytics
MC259924 – Updated July 19, 2021: The Tenant Level Analytics preview is available. Please review: Preview: Tenant-level analytics.
This new Microsoft Power Platform feature release will allow admins to view out of the box reports for usage, maker activity, and inventory of canvas and model-driven apps at the tenant and environment level.
This message is associated with Microsoft 365 Roadmap ID 82010.
When this will happen:
This will rollout in late June.
How this will affect your organization:
These new tenant wide reports for apps and flows will allow admins to track overall usage and business impact of the platform across all environments, identify top maker trends, and review sharing details for key Power Platform resources.
Types of reports:
Usage reporting: Gain visibility into monthly active user trends as well as identify net new users.
Maker activity reporting: Analyze monthly app creation and maker trends in the organization.
Inventory reporting: Review full tenant app and flow inventory in a list view with relevant details along with filtering support to identify the resources that are adding the most (or least) value to an organization.
This is rolling out default off. More detailed “how to” information will be sent in an upcoming Message Center update.
What you need to do to prepare:
You might want to notify your users about this new capability and update your training and documentation as appropriate.Blog
