Want to know about the security benefits of Microsoft's E5 license?
MC289241 – Microsoft is modifying the experience in the Microsoft Authenticator app when approving passwordless phone sign-in requests.
When will this happen:
Microsoft will begin rolling this out to the Apple Store and Google Play store in early October and expect to complete in mid-October.
How this will affect your organization:
You are receiving this message because Microsoft’s reporting indicates one or more users in your organization are enabled for and have registered to use passwordless phone sign-in with Microsoft Authenticator app. They will see the new experience once they update the app in October. This change is being made to reduce the chance of inadvertent approval for unsolicited passwordless authentication attempts.
What do you need to do to prepare:
You may want to notify your users, and update your training documentation as appropriate. You can download this email template to customize, and send to your users.
