New 13-inch Surface Pro (12th Edition)

The new 13-inch Surface Pro (12th Edition) is now built around Qualcomm’s Snapdragon X2 platform. It’s available starting today in Platinum, Black, and Dune, with a $1,499 starting price. This device comes in multiple memory configurations ranging from 16GB up to 64GB, and up to 1TB of storage.

“With a stunning optional OLED display, it delivers deeper blacks, higher contrast, and greater color accuracy, so you can trust what you’re seeing without second guessing. Paired with the optional Surface Pro Flex Keyboard, now available in Dune, this is the 2-in-1 for the makers who want a lightweight tablet without stepping down from the power and flexibility of Windows,” Microsoft explained.

Compared to the previous model, the 13-inch Surface Pro (12th Edition) with a Snapdragon X2 chip offers over 50 percent faster graphics performance. The integrated Qualcomm Hexagon NPU, which is capable of up to 80 TOPS, enables on-device AI workloads in addition to traditional CPU and GPU tasks. It offers up to 15.5 hours of video playback and around 11.5 hours of web usage.

Microsoft’s new Surface Pro includes a 1440p front-facing camera with support for Windows Studio Effects such as automatic framing and background blur, alongside a 10 MP rear camera. Moreover, it features two USB‑C/USB4 ports, which support charging, data transfer, and external displays. The 13-inch Surface Pro also offers wireless connectivity support with Wi‑Fi 7 and Bluetooth 5.4. However, Microsoft has removed 5G cellular connectivity support from the new 13-inch Surface Pro.
