M365 Changelog: Outlook on the web: update in how users access Mail, Calendar, People, and To Do

We are adding an app bar to Outlook on the web which changes how users access Mail, Calendar, People, and To Do functions.

When this will happen

Rollout begins mid-March (previously early March) and should be complete by mid-April (previously late March).

How this will affect your organization

Users will access Mail, Calendar, Contacts, To Do, and other Outlook experiences along the left side of the folder pane. Users can also launch Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and OneNote on the web, Yammer, and other Microsoft 365 applications directly from the app bar.

What you need to do to prepare

You might want to notify your users about this new capability and update your training and documentation as appropriate.
