M365 Changelog: Microsoft Viva Topics – Search to add files/pages in Topic Page

With this update, topic editors can now pin files/pages to a topic page by searching for it in the resource picker.

This message is associated with Microsoft 365 Roadmap ID 88852. 

When this will happen:

Microsoft expects this rollout to begin in early February (previously late January) and expect the rollout to be completed by mid-February (previously early February). 

How this will affect your organization:

With this feature, editors can use search to add files/pages within a topic page. This means you can expect to see more files/pages that will be pinned to a topic.

What you need to do to prepare:

You might want to notify your users about this new capability and update your training and documentation as appropriate.
