MC498604 – Updated February 2, 2023: Microsoft has updated the rollout timeline below. Thank you for your patience.
The OneNote In-App Support feature is now available in Win32. Users can communicate with a support team using the messaging support feature directly.
When this will happen:
Microsoft will begin rollout in late February (previously late January) and expect to complete rollout by mid-March (previously mid-February).
How this will affect your organization:
The InApp Support Feature will be accessible to all OneNote users. However, only the Tenant’s Admin and Teachers can chat with a Live Support Agent.
The OneNote team will get more insights through the Customer Support Team on the pain of our EDU customer on Win32.
Note: When you contact our support team, you won’t receive an email or call back, but you will receive a notification when the support team sends you a reply and you can easily communicate with them in the app. Look for the notification on the Settings and Support icons.
What you need to do to prepare:
There is nothing you need to do to prepare for this feature. You may want to notify your customers and update your training documentation as appropriate.
