Adding files to Favorites is a great way to mark content of personal importance and can help you get to the content you’re looking for right away. Microsoft has made sure that the favorites experience is consistent across Microsoft 365 apps by building on top of the existing pinning and favorites experience. This release will include support for favoriting files from OneDrive web and Document Libraries.

When this will happen:
Targeted Release: Microsoft will begin rolling out in early March and expects to complete rollout by late April (previously mid-March).
Standard Release: Microsoft will begin rolling out in mid-March and expects to complete rollout by early April.
Users in your organization will be able to Favorite files from OneDrive Web and Document Libraries and easily access them from the Favorites pivot in the left nav. Users can Favorite/Unfavorite files using the Favorite/Unfavorite command in the context menu, command bar or by simply using the star icon which will show up on hover.

What you need to do to prepare:
There is no action required as this feature will be enabled automatically. Microsoft recommends updating any relevant training documentation as appropriate.
