Microsoft Teams is releasing user experience improvements for Multi-Tenant Organization (MTO) users. These improvements include a richer profile for users from other MTO tenants, the ability to perform a name-based search for users from other MTO tenants, and the removal of 1:1 chat split across multiple threads. This will only affect users from MTO tenants and there is no action needed to prepare for this change. The rollout will begin mid-January 2024 and is expected to be completed by early April 2024.
