M365 Changelog: Copilot in Stream to become available for customers using Microsoft 365 Copilot

Summary

Copilot in Stream, a new feature for Microsoft 365 Copilot products, will be available in late-April 2024. It allows users to extract information from videos, summarize content, ask questions, locate discussions, and identify calls to action. Preparation may include updating training and documentation.

MC765809 – The following products Microsoft Copilot for Microsoft 365, Microsoft 365 Copilot Developer, and Microsoft Copilot for Microsoft 365 A3 and A5 are being updated with a new capability: Copilot in Stream.

Copilot in Stream will enable the copilot pane in Stream and will allow you to quickly extract information from videos. For example, you can use it to:

  • Summarize any video to identify relevant points you need to watch.
  • Ask questions to get insights from long or detailed videos.
  • Locate where people, teams, or topics are discussed so you can jump to that point in the video.
  • Identify calls to action and where you can get involved to help.

When this will happen:

Copilot in Stream will become available in late-April 2024 for customers with licenses to any of the following products:

  • Microsoft Copilot for Microsoft 365
  • Microsoft 365 Copilot Developer
  • Microsoft Copilot for Microsoft 365 A3 and A5
