MC467904 – The Briefing email from Microsoft Viva helps users start their day on track by surfacing information to prepare for upcoming meetings, follow up on outstanding tasks as well as protect time for independent work. A few updates are coming to the daily briefing email to highlight suggested tasks from 1:1 Teams chats and to highlight key information from Viva Learning directly in your inbox.
When this will happen:
Dynamic subject titles for the briefing email (Microsoft 365 Roadmap ID 100709)
Suggested tasks from Teams 1:1 chat
Viva Learning Cards (Microsoft 365 Roadmap ID 100251)
How this will affect your organization:
Dynamic subject titles for the briefing email
Currently, the subject line of the Briefing email is static to “Your daily briefing.” Beginning in November, the briefing email will feature dynamic subject lines based on content available to specific users and will enable users to have a quick preview of values presented in emails directly from the subject line.
Suggested tasks from Teams 1:1 chat
Currently, the briefing email suggests commitments and follow-ups based on users’ email content. This will now also suggest tasks from users’ 1:1 Teams chat content, further allowing users to stay on top of their commitments, requests, and follow ups.
For Commitments and follow-ups in your briefing email, you’ll see one or more of the following based on your recent Teams activity:
