M365 Changelog: (Updated) Transcription in 1:1 VOIP Calls

Transcription in 1:1 VOIP Calls will soon be available.

This message is associated with Microsoft 365 Roadmap ID 68774.

When this will happen:

Microsoft expects this release to begin in early January (previously mid-November) and expect the rollout to be completed by early August (previously mid-June).

How this will affect your organization:

Transcription capabilities will be available to capture the text version of your Call and save it for later use. This can be enabled via the control bar within the Call window.

What you need to do to prepare:

No action required but you may want to update your documentation as needed.
