M365 Changelog: Microsoft Syntex Pay-as-you-go Preview Update

MC514975 – As announced at Ignite and MC477853 (December ’22), Microsoft Syntex is a new family of products that utilizes AI advancements to transform how content is created, processed, and discovered. The free preview of Microsoft Syntex pay-as-you-go is coming to an end in March.

When this will happen:

The preview will end in March.

How this affects your organization:

If your users are assigned Syntex seat licenses, they will be able to continue using Unstructured Document Processing and Prebuilt Document Processing per the terms of your license.

If your users are not seat licensed and you want to continue using Syntex on a pay-as-you-go basis, you must go to Set Up -> Files and Content-> Set up Syntex in the Microsoft Admin center and accept the GA terms. This will restart any existing models your users had configured in the preview as well. Please note, there may be a 1-week period between when the preview ends and the option to accept GA terms appears.

If you didn’t take part in the preview but would like to sign up for Microsoft Syntex after March, you can do this in the same area of the Microsoft Admin Console.

Review your organization’s usage of Microsoft Syntex and take action as appropriate.
