Episode Overview

In this week’s episode:

  • Windows 11 checkpoint updates: Windows 11 will introduce Checkpoint Updates, which will make the monthly cumulative updates smaller and faster by only including the changes since the last checkpoint.
  • Windows 11 Config Refresh: Windows 11 devices will also be able to refresh and reapply their MDM policies every 30 minutes without rebooting or checking in with Intune using Config Refresh.
  • New Outlook app: The new Outlook app will be generally available for commercial customers on August 1st. It has a modern design and better integration with Microsoft 365 services, but it does not support COM add-ins or offline access yet. It also does not allow creating Teams meetings from non-Microsoft 365 email accounts.
  • Webinar on email signature management: Exchange expert and Microsoft MVP Nicholas Blank will host a webinar on July 24th on how to streamline marketing brand initiatives using email signatures. The webinar will cover how to use a drag and drop editor, centralize signature management, apply rules and measure success with an analytics dashboard.
