  • Nudge Security raises $22.5M Series A to strengthen its AI-driven SaaS security platform.
  • Investor confidence grows as adoption accelerates.
  • Funding fuels expansion of its AI-SaaS security platform.

Nudge Security has secured $22.5 million in Series A funding as it takes aim at one of cybersecurity’s fastest-growing challenges, which is protecting today’s AI-enabled, SaaS-driven workforce. With rapid revenue growth, the Austin-based cybersecurity startup is enhancing how organizations protect their expanding digital ecosystems.

In a press release, the Austin-based cybersecurity startup mentioned that this new series A round of funding was led by Cerberus Ventures, with ongoing support from Ballistic Ventures, Forgepoint Capital, and Squadra Ventures. As part of the deal, Morgan Mahlock (Cerberus Ventures) joined Nudge Security’s board, which indicates strong investor confidence.

Since its launch in October 2022, Nudge Security has tripled its annual recurring revenue year over year while attracting nearly 200 customers. This rapid growth has been driven by continuous product enhancements, which position the company as a rising leader in securing modern SaaS and AI-driven environments.

A new approach to Workforce Edge security

Nudge Security offers a platform designed to protect organizations at the “Workforce Edge,” which is a point where employees engage with SaaS and AI applications. This platform leverages automated, policy-based “guardrails” to monitor behavior in real time and guide employees toward secure practices.

“Nudge Security is at an exciting time in their journey and we’re thrilled to partner with Russ, Jaime, and the team,” said Morgan Mahlock, Director at Cerberus Ventures. “Nudge has cultivated incredible customer loyalty due to its intuitive product that both security teams and employees appreciate for its ease of use. It can deliver immediate value by providing an automated inventory of the SaaS and AI tools being used across an organization. With the vision to expand governance of interactions with SaaS and AI at the Workforce Edge, Nudge will become even more essential for highly distributed, AI-first organizations.”

Addressing the expanding AI-powered attack surface

As AI capabilities become embedded in nearly every SaaS application, traditional security frameworks often struggle to address this growing attack surface. Nudge Security tackles this challenge by providing full visibility into apps, integrations, user identities, and non-human agents. It should help organizations to identify high-risk connections and over-permissive data access before they lead to security breaches.

Nudge Security noted that the newly raised funds will be used to enhance product features and expand its market reach. CEO Russell Spitler highlighted that securing modern AI-enabled ecosystems requires managing not just individual apps but the complex web of integrations and automated processes that connect them.
