MC236025 – Updated February 23, 2021: We have updated the content below with additional details for clarity. Thank you for your patience.

We are retiring the Sent and received email report and recommend using the Mailflow status summary report moving forward.

The PowerShell cmdlet associated with the Sent and received email report which is Get-MailTrafficReport (Get-MailTrafficReport (ExchangePowerShell) | Microsoft Docs) will be retired as well.

Key Points:

  • Timing: late February 2021
  • Action: review and assess impact on your organization

How this will affect your organization:

You are receiving this message because our reporting indicates your organization may be using the Sent and received email report. After this change you will need to use the Mailflow status summary;report.

What you need to do to prepare:

Instead of using the Sent and received email report, we recommend using the Mailflow status summary report. Additionally, you may consider updating your training and documentation as appropriate.
