Microsoft’s FY17 Q2 results posted on January 26 boasted a 49% year-over-year growth in commercial Office 365 revenues, contributing to an annualized run rate for commercial cloud products that now “exceeds” $14 billion. The number of cloud users has grown again, underlying the continuing movement of work to the Office 365 and Azure.

Microsoft has overhauled its LinkedIn platform to make it easier to find and locate content as well as making messaging more intelligent; there are also improvements to individual profiles.
As expected, Microsoft has cleared the final regulatory approval needed to complete its $26.2 billion acquisition of LinkedIn.
A report claims that Microsoft has offered to open up Outlook to rivals in order to win European Union approval of its $26.2 billion acquisition of LinkedIn. This change does not address the complaints of Salesforce.com, however.
