M365 Changelog: Room Finder for Outlook Mobile

The room search & book experience users are accustomed to in Outlook Mac, Windows and Web will be available in Outlook for iOS and Android. Users can search, check availability and book conference rooms directly from the Create Event screen.

Outlook Mobile is here to make the transition to hybrid work easier. Users can now leverage Room Finder or Book a Workspace features when they need to find space to work – no matter if they need focus time or a room for a large group meeting.

Note: Available for Microsoft 365 users only.

When this will happen:

Microsoft expects this rollout to begin in mid-March and expect the rollout to be completed by complete by late May.

How this will affect your organization:

  • For users: Mobile users can search for, see availability of and book conference rooms when creating a new event. From the Create Event screen, users can navigate to Location > Browse conference rooms to use the Room Finder feature.
  • For admins: Room Finder for Outlook Mobile is only available for tenants with Room Finder enabled at at the tenant level. No new configuration needed from admins.
