When this will happen
This feature is currently available in all environments.
How this will affect your organization
As previously announced (MC208814), basic authentication for Exchange Online Remote PowerShell will be retired in the second half of 2021. Customers who currently use Exchange Online PowerShell cmdlets in unattended scripts should adopt this new feature which uses AzureAD applications, certificates, and modern authentication.
