M365 Changelog: Microsoft Teams: Windows 10 native notifications in Teams
MC248006 – With this update, your users will be able to choose their preferred means of Teams notifications delivery, either via the Teams built-in notification system or via their native OS notification system.

When this will happen
Microsoft will begin rolling this out in late March and be complete by mid-April.
How this will affect your organization
Should your users wish to change notifications of Teams messages from the Teams app to the native Windows OS notification system, they can do so in the Teams Notifications settings:
What you need to do to prepare
This setting is respected across all Windows desktop clients (supported versions) that a user is logged into.
