M365 Changelog: Microsoft Teams Public Preview indicator “P” on avatar

MC284365 – This update, that is currently rolling out to users in the Public Preview channel of Teams, adds a P next to their profile picture/avatar as shown in the image below. This is a marker that denotes the user is in Public Preview.

When this will happen:

Rollout has begun and will finish by late September 2021.

How this will affect your organization:

Users will now notice a P next to their profile picture/avatar indicating that they are in the Public Preview channel of Teams.

Note: Public preview is enabled on a per-user basis, and the option to turn on public preview is controlled in an admin policy.
