This release will enhance Microsoft Search experience for Teams meetings that were recorded to OneDrive & SharePoint. For Teams meeting recordings that were recorded and also transcribed live during the meeting, you can now search in Microsoft Search to find the meeting recording file based on the transcript.
This message is associated with Microsoft 365 Roadmap ID 82003.
When this will happen:
Targeted release: We will begin rolling this out in mid-June and expect to complete rollout in late June.
Standard release: We will begin rolling this out in late June and expect to complete rollout early July.
How this will affect your organization:
Previously, Teams meeting recordings were only searchable based on the Title of the meetings. You will now be easily able to find Teams meeting recordings based on not just the Title of the meeting, but also based on what was said in the meeting, via the transcript.
Note: Only the attendees of the Teams meeting will have the permission to view these recordings in the search results and playback the recordings. These meetings will now be discoverable in eDiscovery as well, via the transcript.
If you don’t want these meetings to be discoverable in Microsoft Search or eDiscovery via transcripts, you can turn off Teams transcription.

What you need to do to prepare:
No preparation is needed from your end for this roll out. You can inform your users about these changes and update any training & documentation as appropriate.
