With the upcoming Internet Explorer 11 desktop application retirement (June 15th), for certain versions of Windows 10, Microsoft recommends that you move users to Microsoft Edge and explain how to access legacy websites by reloading those sites in Internet Explorer (IE) mode.

When this will happen:
Microsoft will begin rolling this out in mid-May (previously late April) and expect to complete rollout in late May (previously early May).
How this will affect your organization:
If your organization has legacy sites and apps with Internet Explorer dependencies, the Get fast, secure browsing with Microsoft Edge feature provides an easy way to send your employees guidance to get started with Microsoft Edge. In March, you can include instructions on how to enable IE mode in Microsoft Edge and reload a legacy website using it. You can customize the email to include:

If you want your individuals in your org to have access to this feature, make sure they are assigned an admin role, like Global Reader.
