As a part of this release Team owners will have a simplified team settings experience. In addition, Team owners will also have the ability to create custom time-periods by default. The organization owners will have the option in the organization admin page, to configure this custom time-period creation permissions for team owners.

When this will happen:
Standard Release: Microsoft will begin rolling out early February 2024 (previously early January) and expects to complete by mid-February 2024 (previously late January).
How this will affect your organization:
This will help the team owners to easily discover or access the required team settings or controls. The team owners can also create custom time-period by themselves without having to wait on the org admin if time-period required for the team does not exist.
