MC677835 – Today Viva Engage AMAs only allow for AMA Events that are public and open to the entire organization, though they might only be promoted to specific groups of people they could be discovered and accessed by anyone in the organization. With this update, AMA Events will now allow you to make your event private and only accessible to a specific list of attendees. Additionally, Microsoft will also be releasing a way for you to add up to 10 hosts and organizers to help expand the types of events you can host and make moderation easier.
This message is associated with Microsoft 365 Roadmap ID 174141
When this will happen:
Microsoft will begin rolling out in late September 2023 and expect to complete rollout by early October 2023.
How this will affect your organization:
Users will have more control over their AMA Events with the ability to make them private and have multiple hosts and organizers for the event.
What you need to do to prepare:
There is nothing required at this time to prepare for this change. Microsoft recommends informing corporate communicators and leaders of these updates as it may help them leverage the AMA capability in Viva Engage as it now supports more scenarios.
