M365 Changelog: New Features in Teams Admin Center to Discover Azure Benefit Eligible Apps and View Unspent Azure Consumption Commitment

MC553271 – Microsoft Teams admins will soon be able to search for and identify monetized Teams apps are eligible to contribute towards an organization’s Microsoft Azure consumption commitment (MACC) as well as view remaining unspent MACC for their organization.

As part of this feature, the “Manage apps” tab of the Teams admin center (TAC) will include a new category in the “Browse by” filter and add new visuals in the app cards. These changes provide parity with the Azure Portal in terms of ability to search and identify Teams apps with transactable SaaS offers that are eligible to contribute towards an organization’s Azure consumption commitment.

In addition to above, a new widget in the Teams admin center (TAC) will be added to help admins quickly view unspent Microsoft Azure consumption commitment (MACC) that they can apply when making purchase of Teams apps that they discover are Azure benefit eligible above. It will only be available to organizations that have an existing MACC agreement with Microsoft and only to those admins who have appropriate rights to view the MACC balance.

When this will happen:

Standard Release: Microsoft will begin rolling out in late May 2023 and expect to complete rollout by mid-June 2023.
