The Shifts plugin is now available in Microsoft Copilot for Microsoft 365 within Teams, allowing users to inquire about team shifts and time off. Rollout starts early June 2024, completing by late June. To prepare, admins must deploy the plugin and users need to authenticate it.

Within Microsoft Teams, Microsoft Copilot for Microsoft 365 users can now leverage the Shifts plugin to get information about their teams’ open shifts, shifts, and scheduled time off.

When this will happen:
General Availability (Worldwide): Microsoft will begin rolling out early June 2024 and expects to complete by early July 2024 (previously late June).
How this will affect your organization:
Copilot for Microsoft 365 users within Microsoft Teams with the Shifts plugin enabled can now query Copilot for Microsoft 365 about the open shifts, shifts, and scheduled time off on their team.
They can ask Copilot for Microsoft 365 questions such as the following, drawing from the Shifts app data:

In Teams, the end user can enable the Shifts plugin from within Copilot for Microsoft 365 using the plugin flyout. The user will need to authenticate the connection.
