In Microsoft Outlook, users can select text and use Copilot for Microsoft 365 to rewrite it, adjusting tone and length. This feature, linked to Roadmap ID 392327, will roll out from late September to late November 2024 and requires no admin action.
MC891239 – In Microsoft Outlook, customers can select portions of text in an email and use Microsoft Copilot for Microsoft 365 to rewrite it. Using Copilot for Microsoft 365, users can give detailed instructions on how to rewrite a selection of text and find quick options to modify tone and length.

When this will happen:
General Availability (Worldwide): Microsoft will begin rolling out late September 2024 and expects to complete by late November 2024.
How this will affect your organization:
After composing a message, users will now have the ability to select a portion of text and get help from Copilot for Microsoft 365 to rewrite it, instead of rewriting the entire email.
This new feature is available by default.

This rollout will happen automatically with no admin action required. You may want to notify your users about this change and update any relevant documentation as appropriate.
