MC470780 – As part of the Non-Native and Hybrid Yammer Networks being upgraded, Private unlisted (“secret”) groups in Yammer will be retired on December 1, 2022. The retirement of this feature was first announced via the Message Center on September 1, 2022 (MC424414). You can read more about the retirement of Unlisted groups in this blog post which covers the announcement of three features due for deprecation beginning December 1, 2022.

Microsoft recommends that you communicate clearly to group owners of this impending change and coordinate an effort to remove the groups or convert them to a listed private or public group which can be connected with Microsoft 365. If December 1, 2022 is no longer an acceptable date for secret group retirement, please contact support as soon as possible to file an exception. This is the only way to delay the deprecation of secret groups for your network.
