M365 Changelog: Introduction of organization insights in Microsoft Viva digest email

MC496249 – The biweekly digest email will carry premium organizational insights for qualifying managers. Initially, these insights will include three rotating areas of focus: after-hour collaboration, meeting culture, and manager 1:1 time. Eventually, this pipeline of insights will grow. 

Users can navigate directly to the Viva Insights app in Teams for a more detailed view.

When will this happen:

These changes will start rolling out in mid-January 2023 and will be available worldwide by end of Feb 2023. 

How will this affect your organization:

• All qualifying managers will receive organizational insights in the biweekly digest email.
• These insights will include three rotating areas of focus: after-hour collaboration, meeting culture and manager 1:1 time.
• These insights are already available to managers through the Viva Insights app in Teams.
• Online documentation will be updated to reflect this new feature.

Who will get impacted:

All Qualifying managers who can access insights of their reports on “Organizational Trends” page in Viva Insights app in Teams or web and are subscribed to the Viva digest emails  

What do you need to do to prepare:

• Alert Viva Insights admins to this enhancement.
• Consider updating your documentation as appropriate to reflect the above changes.
• Encourage Viva Insights admins, and analysts to join the Viva Insights Community, where they can learn, ask questions, and share their expertise.
