M365 Changelog: Consolidating OneNote apps on Windows

MC440118 – Microsoft is consolidating OneNote and OneNote for Windows 10. OneNote for Windows 10 listing in the Microsoft Store is being removed and replaced by the OneNote app on Windows listing going forward. For all future Microsoft Store downloads, OneNote will be installed instead of OneNote for Windows 10.

How this affects your organization:

Existing OneNote for Windows 10 users will not be impacted. OneNote for Windows 10 will continue to function for them. But no new feature will be coming to OneNote for Windows 10 as it will reach End of Life by Oct 2025. Microsoft recommends users to switch to using OneNote instead of OneNote for Windows 10 so that they can receive new feature updates and continued support.

If you still need to access OneNote for Windows 10, you can download it from here
