M365 Changelog: Increasing interactive meeting participants and chat from 300 to 1000

MC242587 – Updated May 13, 2021: Microsoft is pleased to announce that this feature has completed rolling out and is available in your organization as applicable.

Currently, Microsoft allows only 300 users to be added to interactive meetings. They are going to increase the meeting participant and chat size from 300 to 1000.

This message is associated with Microsoft 365 Roadmap ID 65951 and 68844

When will this happen:

Microsoft will start rollout early May (previously early April) and expect to complete by mid-May (previously end of April).

How this will affect your organization:

Once this change has rolled out interactive meetings and chats will support 1000 participants.
