in reply to: DFS Keeps Generating Backlog #652386

The Get-DfrsBacklog cmdlet retrieves pending updates between two computers that participate in Distributed File System (DFS) Replication.

Updates can be new, modified, or deleted files and folders. The maximum number of files that this command displays is 100. The Verbose parameter displays a count of all backlogged updates. Any files or folders listed in the DFS Replication backlog have not yet replicated from the source computer to the destination computer. This is not necessarily an indication of problems. A backlog indicates latency, and a backlog may be expected in your environment, depending on configuration, rate of change, network, and other factors.
    Hope this information is helpful.

in reply to: Server 2016 CALs help #652366

Microsoft Windows Server Client Access Licenses (CALs)
A Windows Server CAL is a license that allows customers to access Windows Server. CALs are used in conjunction with Microsoft Windows Server OS licenses to allow Users and/or Devices to access and utilize the services of that server OS.

If your customers are wanting to run Windows Server 2016 on their new HPE Gen10 server, they would acquire a Windows Server 2016 OS license in order to run the Windows Server software on the physical server AND they would need to acquire CALs for the Users or Devices who will access the server.

This two-component license models provides a low entry price and a way to pay for capacity used: the more devices or users accessing the server software, the greater the license fees or price. This model therefore offers license affordability to organizations of all sizes.
HPE offers several different types of Windows Server CALs.

User CALs allow a single user access to Windows Server from an unlimited number of devices
Device CALs allow an unlimited number of users to access Windows Server from a single device
Hope this information is helpful to you if you need more information ablout servers then Apps4Rent is just for you.

in reply to: Storage linit on Azure #652322

Every standard storage in azure has 32,767GB of storage.
Each data disk has a maximum capacity of 32,767 gibibytes.
The size of the virtual machine determines how many data disks you can attach to it and the type of storage you can use to host the disks.

    I hope this helps you.

in reply to: Is Azure expensive? #652292

Azure is actually not very expensive. Azure’s pricing for the services it offers are very similar to it’s competitors such as AWS or GCP. If you feel like Azure is charging you more than it should then make sure you are not running and/or using services that are not in use as that would cost more, no matter which platform you use. Such as destroy Virtual Machines if not in use, do not start services before you are going to need or use them.

in reply to: Share your experiences about Private Cloud storage #652266

Private cloud storage is similar to public cloud storage in that it provides the usability, scalability and flexibility of the storage architecture. But unlike public cloud storage, it is not publicly accessible and is owned by a single organization and its authorized external partners.Private cloud storage is a type of storage mechanism that stores an organization’s data at in-house storage servers by implementing cloud computing and storage technology.

I have been using Private Cloud storage for my business and I can be happy about it that my data and information is been stored at an virus and threat free environment.I am using this service from a service provider called Apps4Rent and would recommend everyone who is looking for a cloud service provider.
Do check their site apps4rent.com for more information on cloud services.
