I have what is probably a very stupid question but please bear with me.
I am new at a company and they have asked me to create a “mount point” to a CIFS share that reside on a NAS. I don’t want to appear stupid to them (plenty of time for that) but how can you “mount” a CIFS folder. Are they using terminology just to mean map network drive/net use command or am I missing a basic command?
Now obviously I know you can use mount command on NFS share (if NFS services are installed) but you can’t use that for CIFS.
