Maybe someone knows (before I go digging in Microsoft’s resources) why my Win2003 Ent. edition server does not properly display my 4GB or RAM I have installed on the server?

    Some info:

    Code:
    Motherboard:
    CPU Type Intel Pentium 4E, 3000 MHz (3.75 x 800)
Motherboard Name Intel Rock Lake D865PERL (5 PCI, 1 AGP, 4 DIMM)
    Motherboard Chipset Intel Springdale i865PE
System Memory 2918 MB (DDR SDRAM)
    BIOS Type AMI (01/22/04)
    Communication Port Communications Port (COM1)
    Communication Port Printer Port (LPT1)

    Display:
Video Adapter RADEON 9550 Secondary (256 MB)
Video Adapter RADEON 9550 (256 MB)
    3D Accelerator ATI Radeon 9600 (RV350)
    Monitor Sony SDM-S73 (0203201)

    Multimedia:
    Audio Adapter Intel 82801EB ICH5 – AC’97 Audio Controller

    Storage:
    Floppy Drive Floppy disk drive
    Disk Drive WDC WD2500SD-01KCB0
    Disk Drive WDC WD2500SD-01KCB0
    Optical Drive HL-DT-ST CD-ROM GCR-8523B (52x CD-ROM)

    Motherboard Properties:
    Manufacturer Intel Corporation
    Product D865PERL
    Version AAC27646-211

    Memory Controller Properties:
    Error Detection Method 64-bit ECC
    Error Correction None
    Supported Memory Interleave 1-Way
    Current Memory Interleave 1-Way

    Supported Memory Voltages 3.3V
Maximum Memory Module Size 1024 MB
    Memory Slots 4

Notice that I have 4 DIMMs installed, each with 1GB or RAM. BIOS correctly displays the memory size, so does AIDA32:

    Code:
    [ Memory Modules / DIMM1 ]

    Memory Module Properties:
    Socket Designation DIMM1
    Type DIMM
    Installed Size 1024 MB

Looking at MSINFO32 it also shows I have 4GB or RAM:

    Code:
Total Physical Memory – 4,096.00 MB
Available Physical Memory – 2.45 GB
Total Virtual Memory – 9.50 GB
Available Virtual Memory – 8.82 GB

Notice how the total amount of RAM is correct, but the available RAM is not correct.

However, looking at the Task Manager and My Computer properties I only see 3.25GB or RAM (see attached pictures).

    Things I did so far:

      1) I’ve upgraderd my BIOS (or so I think) with the latest version. Before the upgrade the display showed I had less than 3GB. It now shows I have 3.25.
      2) I’ve tried using the /3GB switch in Boot.ini.
      3) I’ve tried using /PAE in Boot.ini.
      4) SP1 for Win2003 is installed.

    Any other ideas?
