I upgraded my ST Home to Pro and then to 510 succesfully, almost everything seems to work just fine.

However, after the modem upgrade my computer briefly displayed “New UPnP device detcted” and the device was added to the Network Places. After a little while, I noticed that the device was no longer displayed in Network Places and since then I havn’t been able to make it re-appear.

The main reason for me going on 510 was to enable voice & video on Messenger. Needless to say, this does not work now.

In here http://www.microsoft.com/windowsxp/expertzone/columns/bowman/december24.asp , there are screenshots that show that the new connection should be displayed in “Network connections”.

    Other observations:
    1. UPnP is installed in Network Services on my desktop.
    2. The UPnP device is also not visible from another computer on the LAN. However there it is added to the “My network places”
    3. I did check that the UPnP was configured as “on” in the ST.
    4. The modem is upgraded to 510. Going to displays the new interface

    Any idea?
