Hello, this my situation (virtual nt4 domain):
    srv1 PDC NT4 SP6 (DHCP,WINS)
    srv2 BDC NT4 SP6
    srv3 MEMBER SERVER WIN2K3 R2
    I Execute these actions:
    1 I put off-line SRV2
    2 I upgrade srv1 to win2k3
3 I Install AD whit an active directory integrated zone
    4 I Autorize the DHCP
    5 I promote srv3
    6 I put on-line srv2 (ex PDC)
    7 I upgrade srv2 to win2k3
8 I try to promote srv2 but there is this error:
    THE RPC SERVER IN UNAVAILABLE
In the event viewer there is this message:
NETLOGON ID 5805 THE SESSION SETUP FROM THE COMPUTER FAILED TO AUTHENTICATE – ACCESS IS DENIED
I presume there is not the secure channel from srv2 and the domain.
In need to upgrade srv2 because is an application/db server.
    Where is the mistake?
What I have to do before to upgrade or promote a nt4 pdc after a domain upgrade?
    Thanks in advance.
