I have been looking at ways to sysprep server 2008 R2 for a couple of days now. I have found many resources on how to write the answer file and add and remove all of the yuckie stuff that I do not want. The problem I am having is activating my MAK keys. here is what I have in the answer file:

    cscript //b c:windowssystem32slmgr.vbs /ipk xxxx-xxxx-xxxx-xxxx-xxxx

    cscript //b c:windowssystem32slmgr.vbs /ato

It would not let me post the actual xml

This however does not work during sysprep. If I run those commands from the command line they work perfectly. Can I do the activation this way, or do I have to call a runonce script to run them from powershell after the sysprep boot.

    Thanks in advance.
