I have a TS server (2008 standard) with 2 RemoteApps. since few days ago a few users not getting local drives passed to a remote session so they cannot save any reports to a local drive. Tick box on the client for passing local drive is ticked, Redirection in “Remote desktop Session Host Configuration” is NOT disabled, Group policy to manage it NOT applied.

Also only a few users getting this issue, other users (with the same group membership and in the same OU) do not have this issue.

Also its not PC specific – can log in from same PC and some users will have local drive but some will not (same users have this issue)

Would be grateful for any ideas.

You will learn:

  • Who should be allowed to be invited as a guest?
  • What type of guests should be able to access files in SharePoint and OneDrive?
  • How should guests be offboarded?
  • How should you determine who has access to sensitive information in your environment?
