Viewing 1 post (of 1 total) Author Posts kvouzoplisMember Jul 02, 2007 at 1:22 am #126403 hello all and goodmorning, i bought a cisco asa 5505, so i can start familarizing myself with cisco’s security products… my current network consists of a cisco 2811 adsl router…which is connected to a cisco catalyst 500 switch. my routers config is pretty simple and straightforward. i have a static ip. i use nat to forward smtp packets to my exchange server, which is on the subnet 192.168.3.0 /24 i only have that one subnet. everything is on the 192.168.3.0/24. the routers fa0/0 port ip address is 192.168.3.1/24, and i make the asa ip address 192.168.3.2 /24… i enter a static route from the firewall to the router, but there is no connectivity to the outside world? any ideas for a basic working setup ?? thanks :o Author Posts Viewing 1 post (of 1 total) You must be logged in to reply to this topic.
